Acupuncturists at Cherry Blossom Healing Arts

You’re in the right place

We use TCM acupuncture to help you unlock your body’s potential to heal itself. Imagine pain not limiting what you want to do in life. Acupuncture is proven to relieve pain better than opioids. Our expert team works with you to help you see the results you need.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a powerful medicine that helps unlock your body’s potential to heal itself. Our acupuncturists are experts who know how to use all aspects of TCM to heal.

Whatever your condition calls for—acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal medicine, cupping, gua sha, or nutrition and wellness planning–they’ll help you get the results you need!

We Are Nationally Board Certified Practitioners

Our expert acupuncturists are nationally board certified diplomates of oriental medicine (Dipl. OM). In contrast with non-certified practitioners, this means our acupuncturists have gone to an accredited acupuncture school for a four-year master’s degree, and then passed four additional exams: biomedicine, acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and theory and diagnosis of Chinese medicine. The result is acupuncturists with a deep expertise in acupuncture and herbal medicine who are best equipped to help you work on your health concerns.

Elyse’s Cherry Blossom Story

My road to acupuncture began with a mysterious illness in my senior year of undergrad. Frustrated after experiencing minimal results and numerous side effects of multiple medications, I started acupuncture treatments. I took a Chinese herbal formula (one I now regularly prescribe to patients for various symptoms). The results were dramatic—symptoms disappeared, energy improved, and mental health was regained.

Finding My Calling

I was well enough to graduate from the University of San Diego and spent the next several years working in various non-profit organizations for social justice. I also continued to read and study acupuncture on my own. It wasn’t until multiple family members ended up in the same hospital for different health problems—when I spent hours helping care for other family membersthat I realized my true vocation was helping others through healing.

The Obvious Choice

Acupuncture and herbal medicine was an easy choice because of the dramatic results I’d experienced with my own health. I enrolled in Southwest Acupuncture College to study TCM acupuncture and Chinese herbology—graduating on an accelerated course of study and passing all 4 boards before graduation.

Cherry Blossoms + Healing Arts

Cherry Blossom Healing Arts was born in November of 2013. I named the practice Cherry Blossom Healing Arts because it was the perfect conjunction of my love of Japanese Meridian Therapy and Japan’s gift of cherry blossom trees to Washington DC.
