Complete Nutrition and Wellness Planning

Your Nutrition Needs Are Unique

You may already be health-conscious and think carefully about what you put in your body. However, what is generally good diet advice does not always work for your specific circumstances.

Our acupuncturists know how to shape dietary advice that works with your particular constitution and treat food as medicine. They’ll craft an easy to implement diet change that can have a BIG impact on your health without robbing you of the joy of eating and the pleasure of taste.

Benefits of Nutrition and Wellness Planning

Our nutrition and wellness plans are designed to address your long-term health interests.

By changing your diet—even in a small way—you can increase your energy, get better sleep, have better digestion and bowel movements, prevent migraines and headaches, and even help with fertility. Nutrition and wellness programs take time to work, but the long term benefits of committing to diet changes mean being able to live your life the way you want.

You Deserve to Be Nourished

Nutrition in Chinese medicine is all about balance—you need vitamins and minerals and fiber, but also fats, protein, and carbs. What’s important is that you have the right balance, and that means eating the right things at the right times.

Our acupuncturists can help you achieve that balance. We’ll help you learn how to listen to your body so that nutrition becomes more intuitive. Our nutrition suggestions are rarely about dieting and cutting calories or foods out altogether but focus on nourishing correctly. When you’re able to do this, you can think clearly, pay attention well, sleep well, have better energy, and feel better able to deal with the challenges of life. Learn more about how we incorporate Nutrition and Wellness into our treatment plans.

Acupuncture & Nutrition

Acupuncture is the main modality of treatment our acupuncturists use, but pairing it with nutrition changes speeds healing and leads to better long-term outcomes. These two work together to resolve symptoms, and as they do, your needs change.

Your acupuncturists will tweak your treatment plan at follow-up visits to ensure you’re always getting the best treatment for where you’re at.

Herbal Medicine & Nutrition

Nutrition and herbal medicine are two sides of the same coin. In fact, many herbs originally are foods before they are processed as herbal medicine, such as gui zhi (cinnamon twig).

Herbs and food usually work toward the same treatment goal, but herbs offer much faster healing, while nutrition changes ensure you won’t always need herbs to heal.

In some cases, it’s not possible to take Chinese herbal medicine, such as prior to a surgery, where any herbs or supplements are prohibited by your surgery team. In those cases, nutrition changes can have a similar effect to herbal treatments. Learn more about our cutomized Chinese Herbal Medicine formulas.

Supporting Your Health & Wellness

I would completely recommend telemedicine with Cherry Blossom Healing Arts

I've been doing appointments virtually for about 5 months now, initially for nutrition planning. When I found out I had Lyme Disease Elyse really worked with me on not only diet but also supplements and other ways to help me recover, adding new suggestions and adjusting as needed. Always willing to listen, I feel comfortable knowing I can check in with questions at any time. After trying a custom herbal medicine mixture for the first time recently my most annoying symptom seems to have disappeared. I'm so glad I found Cherry Blossom!

Designing a Wellness Plan That’s Right for You

Having a reliable and realistic wellness plan is key to preventing many health problems, such as migraines or insomnia. At your first visit, your acupuncturist will come up with a treatment plan tailored to your specific symptoms and health history. If it helps your symptoms, part of that plan will include a nutrition plan.

We start with a general set of principles—eat with the seasons, eat for your constitution, eat regular meals—and tailor concrete recommendations based on your unique needs.

Our acupuncturists will walk you through what our recommendations for your diet mean. We know that implementing a dietary change, even a simple one, is not easy. We’ll have concrete suggestions for how you can get the best food for you into your body. A small change in your diet can pay big dividends for your overall health!

Your Acupuncture Treatment Plan

Your journey to better health begins before you step through our doors. You'll be able to easily schedule an appointment online as well as fill out your health history form before you arrive at our office—maximizing conversational and treatment time with your acupuncturist.

At your first appointment, your acupuncturist will discuss your health history, get input from you on what your treatment goals are, and develop a treatment plan. They'll then treat you using whatever services are best suited to your specific symptoms.

Although plans vary depending on the patient, most typically run for four weeks. At the end of your first visit, your acupuncturist will give you a written treatment plan. At subsequent visits, you'll discuss your symptoms and whether they've improved, regressed, or stayed the same. Your acupuncturist will adjust the treatment plan based on your input and their ongoing diagnosis of your condition.

When your main complaint is resolved, you can reduce treatment or work on another symptom. Still thinking it over? Take a look at our Testimonials page to see what other patients are saying.

Wellness Planning and Nutrition Support Help Prevent Illness

If cupping helps you in the short term and acupuncture in the mid-term, nutrition and wellness planning directs your long term health.

Changes in diet and nutrition can prevent many symptoms from happening before they evolve into illnesses. Our acupuncturists will design a wellness plan that treats your short-term symptoms but plans for the long-term through nutrition and diet.
