The Best of Both Worlds
Hi, I’m Elliott! I am excited to be serving my community here in Woodley Park and the broader DMV area. I’ve called this neighborhood home for almost two years now, and I am continually delighted by the easy access to both big-city amenities and the quiet natural sanctuary of Rock Creek Park. This is not an understatement. I’d spend all day in natural light and grounded to the earth if I could!
Chinese Medicine too is a practice rooted in nature, and a much needed complement to the modern healthcare system. I am honored to support my patients with this time-tested, non-invasive, and preventive form of medicine.
A Single Thought Can Change Your DNA
Perhaps not literally, but I believe how we relate to the world and our role in it has a profound effect on our self expression. I am here to support and encourage you along the way.
I hope to facilitate the ideal healing environment for everyone — whether you just aren’t feeling your best, or are seeking care for a more difficult diagnosis. The genius of Chinese Medicine is its ability to adapt to you and your body’s needs.
A Game of Resonance: Chinese Medicine Chose Me
I first discovered Chinese medicine when I was affected by a chronic infection in my early twenties. After seemingly endless rounds of antibiotics from various specialists, I finally went to see a local acupuncturist.
Even if I couldn’t always see it, my weekly treatments with acupuncture and herbs were gradually removing longstanding emotional blockages that ultimately allowed me to better navigate and even celebrate life’s challenges.
It didn’t take long before I wanted to understand the mechanism at work and promptly decided to align my career path with becoming a practitioner in this over 2000 year old tradition.
My Educational Journey
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, where I studied English literature and Japanese. A few years later, I received my Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, CA.
My approach to human health is greatly enriched by my further studies in biophysics and electrodynamic field theory. I’m often thinking of ways to relate such concepts back to Chinese Medicine to better support my patients.
